Firstly, as a housing association, our work straddles a number of sectors including construction, land-buying and IT. Our highest paid roles, in keeping with industry remuneration expectations, are within these areas, which are typically male-dominated industries. For example, our property services and commercial roles are predominately filled by men; 75% and 53% respectively.
Now we know what our gap looks like we are working hard to understand it, and what it means for the women and men who work for us. We are working on a plan that will enable us to enhance the things we’re doing well and address the areas we may need to do differently.

Our mean gender pay gap is 25.8% and we believe we have a good initial understanding of the factors impacting this.
