Care and Support
Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, A2Dominion’s care management team have been keeping up to date with changing government guidelines, public health recommendations, and guidelines published by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The CQC recently assessed A2Dominion’s care services on its ability to continue delivering much-needed care services during this unprecedented time of Covid 19.
In particular, the business was evaluated on its safe treatment and care of residents, staffing arrangements, safeguarding procedures and management and monitoring of potential risks.
The Group’s care service was praised for effectively using personal protective equipment (PPE), quarantining residents who had recently visited hospital, and working with local support networks.
The report also noted that safety procedures had been proactively designed and implemented, often going beyond what was suggested in Government guidelines.
Fiona Meaden, A2Dominion’s Head of Care and CQC-registered care manager, praised ‘front-line’ staff for their dedication and commitment:
“The results just really validate that we are providing quality services in truly unprecedented times. I don’t think anyone has seen anything like this in our lifetime, I certainly haven’t seen anything like it in my 25-year career in care.
“During this pandemic, everyone has been changing the way they work but for us in Care & Support, you can imagine it has been particularly challenging. I know it sounds cliché, but our teams really are out on the front lines and risking their lives every day to continue to provide quality care. I can’t stress enough how proud I am of my team and their dedication to our customers.”
A2Dominion provides high-quality care service to customers across Berkshire, Surrey and the South East, helping people live safe, happy and independent lives.
