We’ve submitted plans to build up to 1,000 new homes at North West Bicester.

The proposals form part of the wider Bicester eco-town development – our Elmsbrook scheme comprising 413 private and affordable homes, formed the initial phase of the UK’s first carbon-zero development.
The landscape-led proposals include provision for new green spaces, with the existing bridleway forming a key focal point, along with ecological corridors and a perimeter buffer to promote biodiversity.
The design also incorporates a landscape for locally grown food, a mixed-use local centre and a multi-use games area for people of all ages.
Discussions remain ongoing with Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council about ways to improve infrastructure routes around Howes Lane.
This exciting new project comes as we continue to implement our new corporate strategy and build homes where they are needed most, including affordable ones.
Before finalising and submitting the planning application to CDC, a two-day public exhibition and virtual consultation took place, providing the opportunity for the community and stakeholders to view the plans and provide feedback to the project team.
