Kiren Sekhon secures New Homes Co-ordinator job with us.
During a winter wellbeing event held at our Havelock Centre, Southall, our employment advisor was on-hand to support residents with information, advice and guidance on finding a job.

Kiren Sekhon, 22, discussed with Yasmeen Ali, Employment Advisor, her successful completion of a law degree and the barriers she was facing when seeking a job post-graduation.

Kiren explained that she wanted to explore a different career path and look into other sectors that best suited her experience and skill set. Yasmeen recognised that Kiren may have needed some support in doing this so registered her onto our Pathways Programme.

After the registration, Yasmeen provided Kiren support with her CV and covering letter, job searching and mock interviews. Yasmeen held 1-2-1 sessions with Kiren to set key objectives to help with boosting her confidence.

Kiren showed clear progress and focused on getting all tasks set by Yasmeen complete, demonstrating a clear eagerness to start a career. Following the hard work, Kiren managed to secure a job with A2Dominion as a New Homes Co-ordinator.

Kiren said: “This is a brilliant scheme that can aid other graduates who come out of university and feel a bit lost and discouraged at times.

“Yasmeen is a fun, vibrant and energetic character who is able to uplift and provide supportive feedback, which is how I was able to land my first full-time job!”

Our Pathways Programme is a free employment service available to all A2Dominion customers over the age of 16. It can help customers to boost confidence; support them with their CV, cover letters and interview skills; and give them access to training and employment opportunities.
